The Maine Trip

We went camping to Maine. To Acadia. We climbed many high mountains. The mountains were beautiful and rocky. Very rocky. There was blueberries on some walks. Once mama brought a blueberry jar for collecting blueberries to take home but on that mountain there were NO blueberries (so it just made her backpack heavier).

We all had our own backpacks. We had trail mix, we had cheese sticks and we had water and we had long sleeves.

This is a picture of the campsite. If you look closely under the blue tarp there is John and John is picking his nose!

We went for a really long mountain walk. We took a bus away and then we walked back to the campsite over the mountains. And my sandal broke. I did have sneakers in my back pack. But my toenail had fallen off and the sneakers hurt my toe. But luckily we could fix the sandal. On the long walk we found a kind of small pool of water. Then Theo jumped in and we saw him groaning in the water. It looked like he was teasing us kind of because we were so hot and wanted to jump in with all our clothes on. But we didn't. It was really hot and luckily I brought my sunhat (nobody else did).

Once we went for a mountain climb and we walked to Sand Beach and then we took a bus back to our campsite. The Sand Beach part was ICE COLD!! The warm spot was behind Sand Beach. We found a little warm spot. It was kind of marshy. Well, very marshy. I just stayed in the sandy spot and me and Claire were pretending that we were seals. John and Ben went in the marshy spot and looked for odes. People might not know what odes are so I think I'll tell you. They are dragonflies and damselflies. John and Ben like those right now.

This is a view of Sand Beach from the top of the mountain. Sand Beach is right next to Claire. It is tiny. If you have a magnifying glass you can probably see it better.

Here is the warm part of Sand Beach. See back there were where the marshy bit is - that is Ben.  Me and Claire are hauling ourselves up like seals to sunbathe. There was biting fish. And I saw a girl covered with biting fish all over her legs. She said that they tickled. But I didn't feel any.

When were were camping we think that Theo popped the air beds. We now only have one air bed left because he popped two with his claws. Me and Claire slept on the floor with no air bed. It was really comfy it felt like we were sleeping on airbeds but not as bouncy.

And when we were there we made a fairy house. It was a really big one and it was made out of rocks. We made a rock pathway leading to the fairy house from our campsite. It was only me and Claire who made the fairy house. Mama and Dada didn't have any time to make it with us. It was Claire's idea. I joined in I don't think she minded. Ben made an evil fairy house and he tried to attack our fairy house. John made a nice fairy house near the evil fairy house. Ben made a prison. But because good fairies can fly and this prison had no roof they could escape. But when bad fairies got in there they were stuck because they can't fly. We know that because we are fairies. And probably you are a fairy too.
