For my 9th birthday I got a tree house from my parents. A friendly dog walker gave my mother some wood and paint for the tree house. Her husband is a workman so he did not want wood with around 10 rusty nails in each log. We spent a long time taking nails out and it was very fun (kidding). Then Dada took the wood and built the tree house. Mama spent days and days painting it. And then she couldn't stop and she painted the swing set and then she couldn't stop and she painted the basket ball hoop!
She decided that she did NOT like how the ladder up was bright pink with polka dots so she repainted it red. The rest of the tree house has orange, red, a little bit of pink, 3 types of green and 4 types of blue. It even has a desk and chair. The desk was made from a wooden bogie board that we found in the garbage.
The basket ball hoop - ah, that's a big matter - it was painted with a sun and blue with swirls. The metal stem was dark green, dark dark green.
Oh, oh, I forgot that there was a bottom layer on the tree house - it's a 2 level tree house. Our cousin Sadie call the downstairs the "great store". She called the top level the "great roof floor". And our garden is the "great farm".
