My trip to Gloucester by Anna

I had a trip and I got back last night from Gloucester harbor. Claire my sister went with me and Bibi my grandmother. We were going to visit Dada's mother's sister called Liz. And now Mama picked me up. And now the boys are there with Bibi and Liz. You see Bibi brought me and Claire there and Bibi will bring the boys back to Petersham. Don't you know where Petersham is? It is where Bibi lives. It has a very big yard. And I like when we have Easter there because there are such good hiding spots.

Lanes Cove had a yard too but not as big as Bibi's yard. But it was big enough to do lots of gymnastics.  I learned a back handspring with my mother helping me. And I did a power hurdle round-off rebound back walkover. Kind of fast. And it looked kind of good (I think).

We went for a swim. The guest house that we stayed at was close to the water and of course the house that Liz and Albert live in (Albert is Liz's husband - he is very nice, he loves coloring with me in my doodle book) is close to the water too. The water was freezing and it did not stop me because the sun was so hot on my back. And Liz had boogie boards for her two daughters when they were kids and we used their boogie boards. One of the daughters names is Mimi, the other is called Lily. They are really nice. Lily can do a headstand like me, well just a tripod. Maybe Mimi can too, I didn't see her try, but she IS a great runner. Mimi gave us her American Girl dolls because she was way too big to play with them. And she was going to university. I don't think they play with dolls in university.

And we went shopping. I got a headband. Bibi got a scarf and a dress. Liz got a dress too and a scarf. And Liz got a headband like me. But Claire thought that it was too tight for her head. I love my headband because it is not letting all my hair fall down into my face. It is very big. It goes all around my  head. It shrinks and it opens. It is blue in the middle, it is green on two sides, it is orange and yellow and black and white and red and dark orange and it has dark pink, light pink, brown, light purple, dark purple, dark blue, light blue and another dark blue and another red.

One of the movies that we saw was a very sad one. It was about a fox and a girl. The fox went in the girls house and the fox was scared and he got crazy and jumped out the high window of her bedroom. But the fox lived you see so it was great in the end.
